Three eggs in a gravelly nest is typical of the Killdeer (Charadrius vociferous) a member of the Plovers. This shorebird can be highly migratory or if it finds the right locale it may live there year round. This nest was stumbled upon at the beach of Great Lameshur Bay in Virgin Islands National Park, St. John.
